ABOUT
Jahan Gerrard is a contemporary painter based in the UK. She creates paintings in response to colour and surfaces, with an attempt to capture the moment and emotion, drawing inspirations from the internal and the external world. Using hand gestures, lines and brushstrokes she explores the dynamic tension between colours to achieve rhythmic balance and luminosity. Jahan has exhibited in several group shows in the UK, France, Spain and Italy. She was included in the John Moores Painting Prize in 2018.
